Class 27 vs Class 6:

Class 27 includes Floor coverings but does not specifically include floors such as Floor tiles of metal which belongs to Class 6 as it contains common metals and their alloys and ores.

Class 27 vs Class 11:

While Class 27 includes carpets and rugs, if any of these products include heating or cooling elements, then it is best if classified as Class 11, as trademark Class 11 contains electrically heated carpets, and electrically heated cushions and blankets, not used for medical purposes.

Class 27 vs Class 19:

Class 19 mainly includes Building materials (non-metallic); non-metallic rigid pipes for building; asphalt, pitch, and bitumen; non-metallic transportable buildings; monuments, not of metal, so basically it covers the frames, glasses, gates, and doors not of metal mats and matting, linoleum, and other materials for covering existing floors not covered in Class 27.

Class 27 vs Class 20

Worth to mention that Class 20 includes Materials, not of metal, for building and construction; rigid pipes, not of metal, for building; asphalt, pitch, tar, and bitumen; transportable buildings, not of metal; monuments, not of metal So, if you wish to register wooden floorboards, we should definitely choose Class 20.

Class 27 vs Class 24:

While Class 27 includes the floor coverings and wall hanging (non-textile) and mats, Class 24 includes mainly fabrics and fabric covers for household use such as household linen, for example, Bed clothes and blankets, bed covers/bedspreads/coverlets [bedspreads]/quilts, bed blankets, bed linen, bed clothes, bed covers of paper, covers for cushions, eiderdowns [down coverlets], mattress covers, pillow shams, pillowcases, sheets [textile], sleeping bags [sheeting], traveling rugs [lap robes].

Understanding the main elements of Class 27:

Class 27 in Nice classification is divided into the subsections below:

The hierarchy has been developed by the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) and the national offices of the European Union, with the collaboration of WIPO. Although based on the Nice Classification, it does not form part of the Classification. The hierarchy has no legal effect in trademark examination or when comparing goods and services. This is without prejudice to the possibility of using the hierarchy as an administrative tool in the specification of goods and services on a voluntary basis.
