Therefore, every trademark registered or applied for in the U.S. is in a database known as the Trademark Electronic Search System (TESS). Each TESS record contains several key elements of the mark. Information can be found by searching for each factor. TESS can be located via a search: any marks that contain similar details, and a precise one if you are familiar with one or more of its components.
